As I often mention, I love minor league cards. I like seeing players, jerseys, stadiums, and other things that you don't typically see if the major league issues. And I look forward to these 'extra' types of sets each year for a number of reasons as well. First off, you never really know what is going to come out with these sets. The last few years, the Southern League (home the Double A Tennessee Smokies) has issued a Top Prospects set. I don't believe they did so this year. But we did get a surprise in the Midwest League All Star set, which has not been a staple in the past. Also, these types of sets often feature relatively attractive (or at least offbeat) designs. I really like the design of the Pacific Coast League All Stars set from this year. The other set designs fell a little bit flat for me, but like I said, you never know what you are going to get with these sets.
