Forever Collectibles has introduced a new line of retro bobbleheads recently. These bobbleheads are team collectibles rather than based on individual players. Each bobblehead features a pudgy, caricature-ish character (the same character for all bobbleheads in the series) decked in out in a major league uniform and cap. There are several different uniform variations offered for each team. The versions I saw for the Cubs were the base version (current pinstripe home uniform), a 1977 road grey uniform, a 1969 home pinstripe uniform, and a 1911 road navy blue uniform. These are pictured from left to right below.
The bobbleheads are 7 inches tall and are made of plastic, but are marketed as being a high-end resin that feels like ceramic. Selling price seems to be $15.99 plus S&H at most outlets for these. That doesn’t seem like too bad of a deal if they look as good in person as they do in the pictures. I may pick up one of the 1911 versions, especially if I can find one for $15 delivered.
